Thank you for taking the time to review my portfolio and getting to know me.  I designed and created this site as a means of professional networking and to share some of the work I've done over the past few years.

In 2004, I graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and a Minor in Physics.  However, I quickly realized the Software Engineering field was not the profession for me and decided to pursue my childhood aspirations of becoming an Architect.  Three years later, in June of 2007, I graduated from California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo with Master Degrees in both Architecture and City & Regional Planning.

I first entered the Architecture industry at KTGY Group Inc, where I spent the summer of '06 as an Architectural Intern.  As part of the Medium-Density Housing Team, I mainly worked in the Production Department creating construction documents for podium, wrap, town home, and other residential projects.  After graduation, I joined JZMK Partners but was laid off after 9 months due to a sharp downturn in work load.  Although my time at JZMK was short, it proved to be valuable experience. I was given the opportunity to manage LEED-CS submittals for three office towers, work in design development, planning, graphic design, and construction documents. During my time there, I also became a LEED Accredited Professional and cotaught study sessions for other employees wanting to become a LEED AP.

Some of my city planning experience involves working with Kings County on a General Plan update for the town of Armona. I specialized on the Housing and Community Design Elements where I set forth goals and objectives for the County to achieve over the next 20 years.  I then wrote a Community Entrance Design Plan for Armona that highlighted major thoroughfares and entrance points to the town and provided design ideas to enhance those areas.

Currently, I am with Bassenian Lagoni Architects as a Designer. With 80 percent of our workload being international, I have been able to work on a unique set of projects across the globe, including China, Indonesia, Egypt, and Abu Dhabi. I've designed floorplans, elevations, and 3D models for Villas, Townhomes, High-Rises, and shopping centers.

In my spare time, I design, create, and manage websites and marketing pieces.  Most of my clients have been from the Nutrishop Corporation and Shaker Cup Company.  I've created banners, e-blasts, flyers, and marketing campaigns. I have also always been interested in real estate investments and acquired my first property while in college.  More recently I expanded my portfolio to include what I envision to be the first of many rental properties.

I am currently enrolled in the IDP/NCARB program with the intention of becoming a licensed architect over the next few years.  Although most of my professional experience has been in Architecture and I truly enjoy it, I hope to be more involved in the Planning/Urban Design aspect of projects. My ultimate goal is to become a skilled Architect and Planner.

For any questions, comments, or employment opportunities, please feel free to contact me through any of the means listed on my Contact page. Thank you.
